Sorry, we do not accept vintage rolls of Kodachrome, Ektachrome 160 Type G/A or Ektachrome 7240 VNF-1 film
Note: If you need additional items (i.e. film or other FPP products), please order them separately. Any other items other than the develop/scan services will result in your Develop/Scan being removed from your cart and refunded.
IMPORTRANT - Follow the steps below and read all the info on this page before ordering. Please only place your order when you are ready to send your film in for service! We can not provide service if you do not follow the STEPS below.
Your Steps:
- Place your order on product page. Do not mail your film without placing an order first.
- Download your Film Form - A filled-out FILM FORM must be included with your exposed film. . Please note you must include this FPP Film Form in your package with your film or we will not be able to process your order.
- Where to mail your film - Our address is on the Film Form.
- CHOOSE RESOLUTION - The default resolution is HD (1920x1080). You can use the drop-down above to choose a higher resolution. Note that higher (2k or 4k) resolution does not increase the quality or color grade of your scan. Higher resolution choices (2k or 4k) only give you larger pixels and file size. Unless you are working in a 2k or 4k edit environment, HD is recommended (and most cost effective). If you have specific requests or file types that you need, please include this info on your film form.
FPP Steps:
- CHECK IN - We will email you upon check-in of your film, typically within a few business days of arrival but on occasion this may take longer.
- SERVICES - We will email you with your scan file download link upon completion of services. Please note that while film scanning color grading is performed at our headquarters, we use partner labs for processing and their turnaround may impact our schedule.
- Turnaround - Turn around (once we check in your film) is approximately 4-8 weeks from start to finish.
- Film Return - We return your developed film approx. 4 weeks after completion of service. We hold on to the developed film roll(s) so that you can check your scan to ensure that everything is correct.
Scanning Aspect Ratio -By default we will scan your film 16x9 and include the entire frame (including sprocket holes). If you would like a different crop, please make notes on the FILM FORM that you submit with your film.
Service Limitation - Once you place your order, immediately send your film in for service. This service becomes VOID after 60 days from the date of purchase. (Avoid your order becoming void by only ordering service when you're ready to send in your film for developing / scanning). Only purchase the service that you need. (For example, if you purchase three develop/scan orders, make sure you send your three rolls in one package for service. Orders can not be split up over time)
What is the difference between Negative Film and Reversal Film?
- Negative film is a film that after development produces a negative for scanning to a digital file. Negative film can not be projected and is returned to you (unslit) on a film core.
- Reversal Film is a film that produces a positive image after development. The film is slit and returned to you on a 50 ft reel. Reversal film can be scanned and also projected in a vintage film projector. For more information, .
Please shoot your entire roll before sending it in for processing (“exposed” will appear as per the image)
